About Stone Coast Dog Training

What they offer

Stone Coast Dog Training is run by Christine Kelliher, who spent 24 years as a police K9 officer and detector dog trainer in Pennsylvania before retiring and moving to South Thomaston in 2020. Lessons take place at the training location on Waterman Beach Road in South Thomaston.

Programs

Puppy School is a group class built on the idea that a puppy's first six months matter for training. Basic Obedience is taught in private lessons and lays the foundation for working through behavior issues, and Advanced Obedience moves on to leash control, distance control and off-leash commands, also privately. A board and train option has the dog stay and train with the trainer for owners with limited time.

Approach

The site says Christine works with jumping, nipping, mouthing, reactive and aggressive dogs, and helps owners understand their relationship with their dog so it is trustworthy and reliable in public.
