About T. Harris K9

T. Harris K9 describes itself as a small dog training business, but the range on its services page is wider than almost anything else in the metro.

The pet programs

Day and Train runs by appointment Monday to Friday. Obedience is taught at all levels, with puppy classes, beginner classes, intermediate obedience and advanced obedience listed separately, plus private one-to-one training, a rally obedience class, a Canine Good Citizen class and loose-leash walking.

The working and sport side

Protection training is published across several sports and disciplines: APPDA, IPO, French Ring, PSA and personal protection. Therapy dog testing is offered through CGC, Therapy Dog International and spot testing. Competition obedience covers CD, CDX, rally obedience and BH titles. There is also a Working Dog Club.

Who runs it

Trenton Harris launched T. Harris K9 in 2012 after more than ten years training dogs. He traces the interest to growing up around his grandfather's hunting dogs and his mother's Cane Corso breeding. His published credentials are Certified Trainer, Certified Decoy, Certified Helper and Certified Police Decoy, and he states he has run a specialized breeding program working with police departments since 2016. He is an evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and for Therapy Pets Unlimited, and a conformation handler in UKC. He has been working dog director for the International Cane Corso Federation since 2017, is a member of the Upstate Kennel Club, and founded the Iron Island Working Dog Club in 2016.

Where it is, and a note on the address

The site's contact block publishes 1139 Kenmore Ave, Kenmore, NY 14217. An older Colvin Avenue address in Buffalo may still turn up for the business; the Kenmore address is the one its site gives. Boarding, dog breeding through Black Dynasty Kennels, and grooming through a partner stylist at a neighboring address round out the additional services.
