About Tails Up

What they offer

Tails Up is a pet resort at 401 S Gilbert Street in Castle Rock offering dog boarding, daycare and grooming. Its daycare page describes training sessions run by staff with boarding and daycare dogs, meant to complement the work owners do at home, and its offers page lists a training evaluation where owners meet the resort's trainer, talk through goals and get a tailored plan.

Puppy Preschool

Puppy Preschool is a daycare program for puppies three to six months old, with play sessions, crate training and potty walks through the day and simple commands that reinforce puppy manners.

Approach

The site describes positive reinforcement: desirable behaviors such as sitting politely are rewarded with praise and food, unwanted ones such as jumping are ignored, and adverse measures are not used. Ask what the training sessions cover and how they are scheduled when you book.
