About Teamworks Dog Training, llc

Teamworks Dog Training, llc runs a training campus at 195 Robbins Road in Youngsville, at the northern edge of the metro. It was founded in August 2000 by Michele Godlevski, who the site says was previously training director for the Greater Raleigh Dog Training Club and dog training program director at Durant Nature Park. She is listed as a Certified Canine Behavior Counselor through Jean Donaldson's Academy and an ACDBC through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and as a judge for canine scent sport and a senior judge and certified measuring official for North America Diving Dogs.

What the campus runs

This is the widest sports program in the metro: the site lists agility, dock diving, barn hunt, rally, treibball and scent work classes and events at the Youngsville location, with dog sports events "almost every weekend." Alongside them sit group classes for puppy socialization and manners, behavior work with the business's certified behavior consultants, and private lessons "in basic manners, behavior modification, cooperative care, and dog sports," offered on site and at the client's home.

Fitness, care and the method

The campus has two swimming options – "a Doggie Swimming Pond (natural body of water with gradual incline) and a Canine Dock Diving Pool" – plus cooperative care lessons to help a dog relax for vet visits and grooming, and weekly visits from a veterinary chiropractor. On method the business commits in writing: "We teach our classes using positive-reinforcement based training… We do not use or tolerate harsh physical punishment-based methods, as that outdated style of training has been shown to damage the bond between dog and person, and often escalates aggression."
