The Boarding Spot – Watertown
Overview
About The Boarding Spot – Watertown
The Boarding Spot is a small kennel on the owner's own property in Watertown, about twenty minutes outside Lebanon.
What they publish
The published price list is short and complete: day boarding $30, an overnight stay $50 and described as flexible based on needs, personal sessions $150, a 14-day boarding and training program $1,500, and one-way transportation $25.
What the stay involves
This is primarily a boarding business, and it is worth being clear about that, but training is a published part of it rather than an afterthought. The stated design principle is that dogs should be got out and doing things rather than sitting idly until pickup: activities are built around the daily food portion, dogs travel to local parks and recreation areas in a custom-fitted vehicle, and active training sessions to build specific skills are run at the owner's request. Owners are shown where their dog will spend its time and get pictures, videos and updates through the stay. A free consultation is offered.
Who runs it
Travis Seidel has been training and caring for dogs since 2014 and describes working with a wide range of temperaments, from easy dogs to extremely difficult ones. He was previously employed at a boarding and training kennel in Nashville from 2021, and spent the following two years building out the kennel on his own property.
Practical notes
If you are looking for a structured behavior-modification program rather than a training-inclusive board, ask directly about what the 14-day program covers before booking.
