The Canine Messenger is a dog training and behavior service founded by Tracy Vail, whose career with animals spans wildlife, exotics and marine life. It focuses on balance between people and their dogs through guidance, education and structured training.

Training

Tracy specializes in behavior concerns such as reactivity, separation anxiety and fearfulness, and also works on food aggression. A first session of one and a half to two hours covers manners, obedience, recall, crate and house training, and building a bond through leadership and mental stimulation, with more sessions as needed.

Workshops and pack walks

Workshops and group trainings bring dogs and owners together, and Puppy Pack Walks and Adult Pack Walks for dogs 16 weeks and older include a mini class, held in coastal Ventura and on the trails of Ojai. One personal session is needed before joining a pack walk.
