About The Dog Exhauster

Adventure school for high-energy dogs in Austin

The Dog Exhauster is an Austin exercise, training and boarding service for high-energy dogs, run by Audrey and Adolfo, an insured pair who say they have been working with dogs since 2009. Its tagline is exercise, training and enrichment "to the point of happy exhaustion."

Daycare and boarding

The Daycare Adventure Pack rotates trail hikes, leashed pack walks and off-leash play while reinforcing come, sit, down and stay around distractions, plus social skills, threshold training, leash manners and settling. It is $55 per day plus $45 per additional dog. Overnight boarding guests live in the couple's home and join the daily pack adventures, at $75 per night for daycare regulars.

Training

Private training in your home is $90 per hour. The Board & Train Boot Camp has two tiers, both with follow-up training at home. Transformation ($160/night) targets crate and potty training, separation anxiety, barking, destructive habits and aggression or reactivity. Foundation ($120/night) covers loose-leash walking and heel, sit, down, stay and place, off-leash recall, e-collar training, dog-dog manners and threshold training. A free Meet N Greet assessment helps pick a tier.
