About The Dog Wizard – Dog & Puppy Obedience Training Aventura

Local Dog Wizard team

The Dog Wizard Aventura is a franchise location of The Dog Wizard serving Aventura along with Hallandale Beach, Hollywood and Sunny Isles Beach. Training starts with a free evaluation, after which the team builds a personalized plan, and graduates get lifetime support. Hours are by appointment, Monday to Friday 8:30am-6pm and Saturday 9am-3pm.

Programs

The local menu covers obedience programs, day training, AKC training, private lessons, group classes, board and train and puppy programs, delivered as in-home or mobile programs. Behavior work includes problem solving for barking, chewing, jumping, leash pulling, play biting and housebreaking, along with resource guarding, aggression, separation anxiety, rescue dog rehab and socialization. Trainers describe their techniques as balanced.

The trainers

Luis de La Cruz, who is bilingual in Spanish and English, has more than a decade in pet care, including work as Director of Operations at a Boston doggie daycare. Glenda Galeano, a Venezuelan-American trainer, founded the Miami Pet Assistance Coalition and created the dog podcast Frecuencia Canina.

What owners say

A Pembroke Pines owner wrote that after three sessions with Glenda, their reactive dog showed "a massive improvement" on the lead.
