About the Scentsable K9

What they offer

the Scentsable K9 is an El Cajon team of professional K-9 handlers that coaches dogs of all sizes and shapes in scent detection. Its classes run in levels, from Imprinting and Intro to Detection through Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Scent Detection, and private one-to-one classes are also offered.

Seminars and workshops

The team also teaches seminars and workshops. Its About page says the founder began coaching after judging a nose work competition and noticing handler habits that held dogs back, such as cueing, crowding the dog and poor leash handling.

Background

The site describes the founder as a retired police K-9 handler who trained law enforcement dogs for many years, joined by instructors with search-and-rescue and detection-dog backgrounds.
