The Spirited Canine offers "enjoyable, fair, and effective dog training in Portland, Oregon with 10 years of experience," specializing in puppy raising, obedience training, behavior modification, tricks and extracurricular activities. Training is grounded in rewards-based principles, with clear boundaries that keep a dog safe while respecting its character. Services and prices

An in-person consultation of 60-90 minutes ($200), usually at home, follows a free phone evaluation and includes a written follow-up. Private coaching takes place at home and in public, with packages of 3 lessons ($425), 6 lessons ($750) and 10 lessons ($1,100). Home School day training sends a trainer to your home 2-4 times a week for one-to-one lessons with your dog, with a weekly session to transfer skills to you; potty breaks and exercise are included.
