About The Woofman Long Island Dog Training / Behavior
The Woofman is Keith's in-home behavior practice, working out of Patchogue and, in its own words, 'Trusted by families with difficult dogs throughout Suffolk County'. The headline states the niche exactly: 'When Your Dog Needs More Than Basic Training.' He describes himself as an in-home behavior specialist and behavior consultant 'For Shelters AND FAMILIES Across Long Island', with 20+ years of experience.
Who it is for
The site opens by describing the client rather than the service: 'If you're here, chances are life with your dog has become more stressful than enjoyable. Maybe your dog growls at visitors, lunges on walks, barks nonstop, or struggles with fear and anxiety. Maybe you've already tried training without getting the results you hoped for.' That last sentence is the tell – a good part of this caseload is second-opinion work after another program has not held.
How it works, and what it costs
The ladder is published with prices, which is rare in this metro. A free phone consultation of about 30 minutes comes first. Then a Behavior Evaluation, a roughly 90-minute comprehensive in-home assessment at $180, in which Keith will 'assess your dog's behavior, discuss your concerns and goals, identify the underlying causes of the behavior, and develop a personalized training plan tailored to your home and lifestyle'. Individual follow-up sessions of 60 to 90 minutes can be booked one at a time, or as a five-session block at $625 – which the site notes saves $75 against booking singly and is 'recommended after your initial behavior evaluation'.
Remote option
Virtual Behavior Coaching is offered as a live one-to-one video session for clients outside the service area, for follow-up between in-home visits, or for questions about a specific behavior – the page names puppy questions, introducing a new baby or pet, and leash walking as typical uses. The published service area centers on Patchogue and runs west and north through Sayville, Bayport, Blue Point, Oakdale, Holbrook and Bohemia. Contact is by call or text to 631-568-9854.
