About TLC Canine Coaching

Structure, confidence and obedience

TLC Canine Coaching is a Sandy-area dog training business led by Tonya Crawford, a certified trainer and behavior specialist who has trained dogs professionally for 22 years. She began her career at Triple Crown Dog Academy, studying clicker training, behavior modification, aggression cases, agility, competition obedience, therapy dog certification and CGC evaluation, then established TLC Canine Coaching in 2007. Tonya competes with her own dogs in competitive obedience, conformation and French Ring protection sports.

Programs

Training focuses on structure, leadership and communication, and on coaching the handler as much as training the dog. Adult programs range from on-leash foundational training to 2-week and 5-week off-leash boot camps with lifetime lesson support, and address leash manners, off-leash reliability, reactivity and aggression. Puppy programs cover potty training, crate training and obedience basics, including immersive potty training for puppies between 3 and 6 months and hands-on coaching for first-time owners. Mobile training lessons are also offered. Each program begins with a consultation and a customized plan, and support continues after the formal program.
