About TOLO – Puppy Training

Who runs it

TOLO's home page is written in the founder's own voice: "Hi, I'm Kody Hansen. With over 10,000 hours of hands-on experience, I've worked with dogs of every breed and background. But my heart? It's here-in the first year. As the founder of TOLO-They Only Live Once-I help families in Green Bay and beyond raise dogs the right way from day one." The site calls that role a "Puppyhood Trainer," explaining, "I don't just train dogs. I coach the humans raising them." Its contact number is (920) 680-5171.

The idea behind the program

TOLO frames puppyhood as a closing window: "Puppyhood is a once-in-a-lifetime window," and "Most behavior problems start in the first year-not because families fail, but because they don't have a plan. Chewing, nipping, barking, pulling on walks, fear of being alone… these aren't bad behaviors. They're unmet needs." The stated differences from a conventional trainer are listed as four points: "1 Year. 1 Plan. A Great Dog for Life," "We Train You, You Raise the Dog," "Fix Less. Prevent More," and "One Size Doesn't Fit All." The site claims a narrow focus: "TOLO is the only training in Wisconsin solely dedicated to puppies."

What is in the plan

The program is a single 12-month package rather than a course list. The published contents are a "Personalized puppy development plan," "Weekly 1:1 coaching and on-demand video lessons," "Potty and crate training foundations," "Game-based learning to build focus and decision-making," "Socialization and real-world prep," "Unlimited virtual support from your coach" and "The Great Dog Guarantee." The site describes it as "Our 12-month, science-based program" that "supports your puppy's development and your family's rhythm."

Getting started

The repeated call to action is "Book Free Puppy Assessment" – a free call with the founder to talk through "your puppy, your goals, and the kind of life you want to build together." The site also publishes a blog of puppy training articles.
