About Top Dawg K-9

Top Dawg K-9 works from an address on NC 181 in Morganton and describes itself as specializing in companion dogs – "dogs that are family members and get along with people, children, other dogs and animals." It takes dogs of all ages and breeds, with puppies able to start from fourteen weeks.

What you can book here

The business offers both private and group work and says so plainly: "Call us for prices, private or group, we offer it all." Obedience is the core of it, framed around the outcome rather than the curriculum – the site's line is that a trained dog is a gift that keeps giving. Beyond companion obedience the site names therapy dogs as a second specialty. Beginner group classes have historically run off-site; one example advertised on the page was held at a Morganton retail store.

Who runs it

The founder is named on the site only as Les, described as the master trainer, credited with more than forty years of training and with having been head trainer for another organization. A second instructor, Linda Seidel, appears in a caption showing her coaching a client through a recall.

One thing to check

The site has not been updated in some years – the most recent class it advertises carries a 2016 date – so ask about prices. Call rather than rely on the page for schedules.
