About All The Dogs Grooming & Training
All The Dogs Grooming & Training sits on Dysartsville Road in Morganton, down a driveway next to the sign rather than at the house, with a salon and an outdoor training area on the same site. It is a grooming business that also runs a full training program, and the training side is substantial enough to stand on its own: a published class schedule, a published price list and a credentialed instructor. Its stated catchment is Burke and McDowell counties.
What you can book here
Group classes are the core. Five-week courses at $175 cover Star Puppy for dogs under a year and Adult Manners for dogs over a year, both basic obedience and manners classes with a confidence-building activity at the end of each session, plus LifeSkills 101, an intermediate class working focus, distraction, greetings and leash skills. Six-week courses at $190 cover Canine Good Citizen preparation with the test in week six, and LifeSkills 102, an advanced manners class focused on recall, off-leash skills, place work and heeling, finishing with a group walk on the greenway. A CGC Community/Urban class at $200 runs in a different location each week – Freedom Park, downtown, dog-friendly stores and breweries – and requires the standard CGC first.
Agility and private options
Four agility classes run as a progression: Introduction to Agility, Agility Foundations, Intermediate Agility, and an open-enrollment Skills & Drills class that takes drop-ins. Private training is $50 for thirty minutes or $115 an hour, in the owner's home or at the salon, with a $25-plus travel fee beyond five miles. Any class can be converted to a private class – five-week at $275, six-week at $325 – and a Create Your Own Class option at $350 builds a five-week curriculum around whatever the owner wants to work on.
Two things worth knowing
Group classes are not open to dogs that are aggressive toward people or other dogs, so a reactive or aggressive dog needs the private route here. And a separate $50 counterconditioning and desensitization program exists specifically for dogs that are fearful about having their nails done – a narrow problem, but a common one, and rarely priced anywhere.
The instructor
The About page is written in the first person by Jen, who came into the industry through grooming, describes finding a training internship and mentors, and lists CPDT-KA, AKC Evaluator and Fear Free certifications alongside a yearly Pet First Aid and CPR class. Her husband Rick is described as owner, bather and training assistant.
Who it’s best for
Best for Morganton and Burke County owners who want a structured class ladder with published prices, and especially for anyone wanting to work toward a CGC title or try agility without joining a sports club.
