About Top Notch Dog Training

About Top Notch Dog Training

Top Notch Dog Training is Kathy Donaldson's private training service, headlined on the home page as "Professional and Affordable All Breed Dog Training". The site says she "is a lifelong resident of Kansas City, and has serviced the metropolitan area for over 25 years" and that she offers "private and in-home consultations for home manners, life skills and basic obedience commands".

Background

The home page dates the start of her training to 1999, with a first dog it names as Maximus, "a nationally ranked German Shepherd Dog, through the German Shepherd Dog Club of America". It says she "has trained, coached and worked with hundreds of dogs" and "has consulted with and helped numerous teams achieve titles in Obedience, Agility, and Tracking". Her current dog, named on the page as Nico, is described as her seventh competition dog, working toward another Versatile Companion Dog title.

Credentials and method

Two credential claims are made on the home page. She is listed as "an AKC Temperament Test, Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Evaluator", and as "a LIMA-certified member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers". The stated approach is to use that experience "to not only correct any behavioral issues but to reinforce good habits".

What is offered

The navigation lists private training sessions, group training classes, and a CGC and Trick Dog page, alongside a shop and a page of competition results. Ask about prices when you get in touch; the biography sits on the home page.
