About Total Recall K9

Total Recall K9 is a training facility on Pleasant Ridge Road in Ramseur, south-east of the metro. It publishes a virtual tour of the building, which is rare enough locally to be worth noting if you want to see where a dog would stay before booking.

Programs

The published menu is broad: Board and Train, Private Lessons, Group Classes, Daily Training, and Membership Plans for ongoing work. A separate While You're Away service covers dogs staying without a training program.

The On Duty track

The business runs a distinct program for therapy, emotional support and service dogs, and it is careful to explain the difference rather than treating them as one thing. Its own page describes a therapy dog as one trained to help you help others – a dog that lives with its owner and volunteers in clinical settings such as hospitals, mental health institutions, hospices, schools and nursing homes.

Who runs it

Justin is named on the site as owner and head trainer. His published account is that he has been training in some form since he was a teenager, and that what makes the work succeed is as much his interest in the owner as in the dog.
