About Urban Gypsy Dog Adventures LLC

Adventures and training in Hot Springs

Urban Gypsy Dog Adventures is a Hot Springs business owned and operated by Jona Parker, a native Arkansan who cofounded it with her Catahoula, Gypsy. Its mission is to give dogs safe, stimulating experiences where they can explore, socialize and gain confidence, so owners come home to a more relaxed dog. Jona describes "a balanced training approach with an emphasis on positive reinforcement" and is a graduate of a professional dog trainer's course.

Services

Adventure Training offers tailored programs for dogs of all ages, focused on communication, impulse control, confidence and relaxation, with an emphasis on basic obedience, leash training and recall. Owners are coached too, so they can continue the foundation at home, and the training builds the skills dogs need for group outings. Adventure Club outings include 1 to 2 hours of active hiking and play for well-behaved dogs 2 years and older, and Adventure Hikes offer an hour of hiking for friendly dogs at least 1 year old. Pickup and drop-off are included within the Greater Hot Springs area, and solo or private hikes are available on request.

What owners say

One client wrote that Jona walked and played with her puppy for three days and "was GREAT with him," sending plenty of pictures along the way.
