About WAG Agility

A nonprofit dog sport club with a large facility

WAG – Wisconsin Illinois Agility Group – describes itself as "a non-profit dog training facility full of hard-working, knowledgeable volunteers." The site says the club was founded in 1999 by former instructors and students of the Four Paws Training Center in Antioch, operated first from a 5000 square foot training center in McHenry, relocated to Spring Grove in January of 2000, and moved into its current climate controlled 25,000 square foot facility in 2017 at 2807 N US Highway 12.

Classes

Classes are open to the public, not only to members, and the site says it welcomes "new students of all levels as well as dogs of all sizes and breeds." The published menu covers agility from foundation through advanced, AKC STAR Puppy, Canine Good Citizen, nosework, obedience, rally and tricks. Sessions are described as eight weeks of one-hour classes, with pre-registration required. Private lessons, ring rentals, fun runs and facility rental are also listed.

Trials and events

The site states WAG is "currently licensed for AKC, CPE, TDAA, UKC and UKI trials," and its calendar carries agility trials, AKC Fast CAT, AKC FETCH, CPE SpeedWay, nosework sniff and gos, obedience and rally run-throughs, seminars, workshops and a Therapy Dog International test. The building is described with a gated turf trial ring, two matted working and crating rings, air conditioning in summer and heat in winter, handicap-accessible restrooms and outdoor grassy potty areas.
