What sessions cover

Sessions teach owners how to set a dog up for success, what causes unwanted behaviors, how to manage them and how to teach the dog what to do instead. Training can focus on basic manners, advanced skills, household-specific issues, reactive or shy dogs, or trick training. Because it happens at home, young puppies can start before they finish the vaccinations group classes require, and shy, fearful or reactive dogs can begin in a low-distraction setting before building toward work around triggers. Treats play a central role: owners learn to mark a "moment of YES" and reward the behavior they want rather than bribing.
