The site names two: group courses and private training. On classes it says "We offer multiple basic

obedience courses, tailored to your dog's size", and the site carries a Book Online page alongside

the Private Training page.

Approach

"Here at Wagging Good Dog Training, we believe that training provides a way for you and your dog to

develop your relationship." The method is stated as positive reinforcement — "It works without

having to force your dog into a behavior, without pain or punishments, without causing your dog

unnecessary stress. It works using well-timed, thought out rewards." The philosophy page adds that

training means "setting up a pattern of your dog working for a reward, then moving toward working to

please you without treats in hand", and that classes include "some games to play at home that build

on skills learned in class."

The stated purpose goes past obedience: "We believe training teaches you how to enhance your

communication with your dog – and vice versa."

The trainer

"Ellen Balanecki graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Animal Science. She went

on to graduate with honors from Animal Behavior College, earning her ABCDT certification. She has

worked with dogs since 2018". She "uses LIMA training methods (Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive)

and is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT)."
