About Warwick Wags
Warwick Wags was founded in 2018 by Maddie Schloicka and runs two services side by side out of Warwick: dog walking and dog training. Everything happens where the dog already lives, which the business treats as the point rather than a limitation – the home page's argument is that pets do better in "their own familiar and secure environment".
The training, and what it costs
The published training product is a one-hour private session at $150, with the site noting that quotes vary by location and by what is actually required. Puppy work is the spine of it. The services page describes potty training, jumping, staying on command and getting used to a leash as the everyday material, with puppy training classes framed as a start on "a path to lifelong success", and it is explicit that the programs are individualized one-on-one rather than a fixed course. Dog walking is priced separately and openly: $30 for thirty minutes, $45 for forty-five, $55 for an hour.
Who does the training
Maddie Schloicka's background is published in some detail. She came through the Orange-Ulster CTEC animal science program and then apprenticed under Jim Epperly of Epps Dog Training, whom the site names as her mentor, and it is through that apprenticeship that she describes learning to work with young dogs and dogs with behavioral issues. Two specialisms are named: guiding dogs to the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen certification, and training eligible dogs to become certified therapy dogs. The approach is described as hands-on and holistic – physical, emotional and psychological welfare treated as one problem rather than three.
Where it works
The published service area is Warwick, Florida, Chester, Goshen, Sugar Loaf, Monroe, Greenwood Lake and Pine Island on the New York side, plus Vernon, Stockholm and Hewitt across the New Jersey line. That is a Warwick-valley footprint, and it is a reasonable list for a mobile practice: everything on it is inside about twenty minutes of the village.
Practicalities
A complimentary consultation and quote is offered before anything is booked, and the business runs a client portal for scheduling. Contact is (845) 707-9647. The business is rated 5.0 from 6 Google reviews – a small sample, worth reading in full rather than treating as a score. Its Facebook page is active and posts training content, including short explainers on commands like "place".
