About Webshire Kennels

Webshire Kennels sits on Grandview Road in Larsen, Wisconsin, and bills itself as "Gundog Training and Kennels". The specialty is stated first: "Webshire Kennels specializes in gun dog training, which includes retriever hunting dog training, waterfowl hunting training and upland bird dog training." Pet owners are served by a second line – "We also offer all-breed obedience training, companion dog training, as well as complete dog boarding and dog grooming services."

Training

The training menu separates all-breed obedience training, AKC titles, gun dog training and retriever competition training, and the site publishes a Wisconsin summer class schedule. The approach is described as individual rather than packaged: "Webshire Kennels tailors their training program to meet the needs of the individual dog and owner." Results are framed around competition as much as the field – "Our students participate in and have achieved success in a multitude of venues; including Field Trials, AKC/UKC Retriever Hunt Tests, Obedience and of course, in the field and home" – and the about page says "With over 100 Master Hunter titles to our credit, and counting, Webshire Kennels has the experience to help build the team looking to achieve success in the AKC Hunt Test program."

The facility and the people

The site says the kennel "is seated on 40 beautiful acres, which were specifically designed for the retriever training", and that "Their 11-acre pond is one of the best training ponds in the country". Alongside training it runs boarding, grooming and a breeding program, and describes itself as "an AKC breeder of merit". The about page names "Brian and Lisa Hartfield and the staff at Webshire Kennels" as the people behind it, and says the two "look forward to meeting with you personally to discuss your needs and goals". The service area given runs across the Fox Cities – Greenville, Hortonville, Neenah, Menasha, Oshkosh, Omro, Winneconne, Fremont, New London, Kimberly, Kaukauna and Appleton. Ask about prices.
