Webster's Dog Training is Gordon Webster's in-home training business, based in Venice and serving the coastal Westside: lower Santa Monica, Ocean Park, Sunset Park, Oakwood, Venice, Mar Vista, Playa Del Rey and surrounding communities.

Programs

Training is organized by age. There is a puppy program for 8 to 12 weeks, a 12-to-16-week program focused on confidence, self-control and real-world manners, a 4-to-9-month program for puppies entering their teenage phase, and a program for dogs 9 months and older working through adolescent habits and new challenges. Scent detection training, in which dogs learn to search for birch, anise and clove, is also offered.

Approach

Owners start with a short questionnaire about the dog's personality and goals, and each session is tailored from there. The site describes a balanced, results-driven approach built on calm leadership and clear communication.
