About Westchester K-9 – Serving Westchester, Putnam, CT, NYC

Westchester K-9 has been training dogs since 1998 and works across Westchester, Putnam, the Bronx, New York City and parts of Connecticut. The owner is Stacy Hirsch, who the site describes as a Certified Master Trainer.

What is on the menu

Six services carry their own pages: puppy training, general dog training, board and train, private dog training, group dog training classes and doggy daycare. The private line is explicitly mobile, and the tagline on every page is that they come to you.

The problems they name

The site talks in specifics rather than in categories: jumping, pulling, biting, house accidents, barking at the door, not coming when called, and a dog that tenses up on a walk when a child on a bike comes past. Their own articles cover why a board and train program can be the fastest route for reactive and aggressive dogs, so behavior work on adult dogs is part of what they take on.

How they work

The stated priorities are patience, fun, kindness and humane treatment, and the pitch is consistently that the owner is trained alongside the dog. One published client note credits e-collar work; several others describe behavior change after a residential program. Classes are kept small on the argument that fewer dogs means more training time each. Consultations are free.
