About Wolf Pack Dog Training And Animal Care

Who runs it

Wolf Pack Dog Training & Animal Care is run by owner and trainer Lauren Paterson. The site describes "a professional business based in Western Kentucky that is dedicated to dog training and for the well being of the dog," and puts the experience at "over 30 years of training and animal care experience," with "over 3000 dogs of various breeds and temperaments" trained. It adds a background as "a certified veterinary assistant" who "worked as a veterinary technician for three years."

Board and train

Training here is done while the dog stays: "Schedule a few weeks of Boarding and Training and have your dog returned more obedient, then get a lessons on how to maintain that obedience." The published price list sets basic on-leash obedience (heel, sit, down and come) at "2 weeks min" for "$ 1,050," and problem dogs or advanced training at "$2,000 3 weeks $3,000 4 weeks $6,000 8 weeks," plus training equipment. Each week of board and train includes a lesson: "you get a free lesson to teach you how to work with your dog." Dogs must be at least 4 months old and current on rabies, Bordetella and core vaccines.

Boarding

Pet-care boarding is priced at "$35 a day" in a home setting, and the site says it boards one household's dog at a time: "My boarding program caters to just one client's dog at a time."

What owners are told to expect

The guarantee page is blunt that follow-through matters: "The only way to have a trained dog is to be consistent and work with your dog daily on what it has been taught." Services run by appointment, Monday to Friday, with weekend slots for boarding drop-off and pickup.
