About Wolverine K9 LLC

Wolverine K9 publishes six services and describes each of them, which makes it easy to say what this business actually does.

Puppies first

The puppy program is framed around timing: "The early stages of a dog's life are crucial for shaping who they become." It covers "socialization, confidence building, crate training, and the beginning stages of obedience training", and the business is open about who it is for – "Whether you are raising the perfect family companion, active pet dog, or a working/sport dog, the foundation starts here!"

Obedience, behavior and lessons

Basic and advanced obedience is the core offer, with the stated mission to "enhance the bond between dogs and their owners through effective dog training". Behavior modification is aimed at "environmental issues, reactivity, and anxiety". Private lessons are flexible about place: they "can be done at our facility, your home, or out in public".

The e-collar course

A separate "E-Collar Conditioning Program" is published "for dog owners who want to build reliable communication with their dog", introducing the tool "in a way that is effective while still being fair to the dog". It is a conditioning course rather than an off-leash program.

Boarding

Boarding is offered in its own right and discounted afterwards: "We also offer discounted boarding services to any dog that completes any of our board and train courses!"

Who runs it

Tommy McJilton, with "over 4 years of training experience" and a published background in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. He competes in the dog sport PSA with his own dogs – a personal pursuit; ask if you want protection or sport training.
