Reward-based balanced training in Nampa

Yes!Paws Academy is a Nampa dog training business owned by head trainer Jenna Buck, CPDT, and co-owner Dallin Buck. It trains dogs of all sizes, breeds and ages, from 10 weeks to 10 years. Jenna completed a 12-week, 450-hour immersive course in 2019, graduating as a Canine Professional Dog Trainer, moved to Idaho in 2020 and built her own curriculum for the academy.

Method

The academy calls its style "Reward Based Balanced Training." Behaviors are taught with rewards and positive reinforcement, whatever motivates the dog: treats, praise, affection or toys. Training collars may be added if a dog would benefit. Once a dog is solid at home, training moves to field trips so it becomes well rounded. Owners are included in every step: "Teaching Owners. Training Dogs. Growing Together."

Programs

Programs include private lessons, board and train, day training, boarding and daycare, and consultations. Hours are Monday to Friday 9am-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm.
