About Zauberberg Canine Academy

What they offer

Zauberberg is a German Shepherd kennel on a 240-acre property in McNeal that also trains dogs of all breeds. Its home page lists training for pet dogs, police K9s, Schutzhund, search and rescue and service dogs, protection training, and adult German Shepherds trained to an owner's needs, and it invites owners to book a training session. It also publishes free obedience training videos.

How they train

The site says its trainers teach behaviors with positive reinforcement first, then make them reliable around the distractions of everyday life using the other principles of learning as well, and that the goal is to make the owner a capable trainer for their own dog.

Good to know

The business also breeds German Shepherds from German bloodlines and has a second location in Tucson. Ask which location your training sessions would take place at.
