About All Dog Adventures

History

All Dog Adventures states it has been serving Richmond dogs and their families for 30 years. It opened in 1996 as All Dog Playskool, described as Richmond's first doggy daycare, starting in Huguenot Village on the city's Southside. It has since grown from daycare and training classes into a full-service facility.

Training

Training is organized as a tiered program rather than one-off lessons. The site describes group classes plus support for foundational skills, confidence building, manners, socialization and more personalized training needs, and its own class structure runs through Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 resources into advanced training and agility programs. Board and train and day school, private lessons and group classes are all listed.

The wider facility

Alongside training the business runs doggy daycare, overnight boarding and grooming. Its stated approach is to create customized care and training plans designed around each dog's needs, personality and goals.

Philosophy

The business describes its mission as providing best-in-class dog boarding and training, treating dogs as if they were its own, and being attentive and responsive to owners. It emphasizes helping dogs and owners build confidence at their own pace, with training designed to motivate, build trust and make learning fun.

Recognition

The site notes first place for Best Dog Training Company and second place for Best Pet Boarding and Daycare Facility in Central Virginia, for the third year running at the time of writing.

Practical details

The facility is on West Clay Street in Richmond, with online registration and a customer portal, and publishes a current class schedule.
