TFR Board and Train
Overview
About TFR Board and Train
TFR Board and Train works from Myers Mill Road in Olin, at the northeastern edge of this metro in Iredell County, and is built around residential training. Its stated belief is that "every dog is capable of learning with the right guidance, consistency, and clear communication through obedience."
What you can book here
Five programs are published: Private Lessons, Puppy Foundations, Basic Obedience, Off-Leash Obedience and Board and Train. The framing covers a wide span of ambition – "whether you're raising a new puppy, just want to take a leisurely walk with your dog, or dreaming of an off-leash companion, we'll build a training plan that fits your goals."
The approach
Balanced, and described in terms of decision-making rather than obedience alone: "Our balanced approach focuses on teaching dogs how to make good decisions while helping owners become confident leaders. We don't just train dogs – we teach families how to maintain those results for life." Consultations are free.
Two things to know before you call
First, the facility is still being built. The business states that "the new TFR Board and Train center is currently under construction" with an opening targeted for October 2026, so ask what is running now and where. Second, several of the program descriptions on the site are still the web builder's placeholder text, so the program names are real but the detail behind them is not yet published – that conversation has to happen on the phone.
Who it’s best for
Best for Iredell and Alexander County owners who want off-leash reliability and are willing to talk through a program that is not yet fully described in writing.
