About The Modern Dog Training

The Modern Dog is run by Krista Scott, who writes on the site: "I'm Krista a professional dog trainer serving the Triad Area, based in King NC. I have been teaching dog owners how to communicate, motivate, and live conflict free with their dogs for over 12 years."

What she trains

The published range runs from puppy essentials and problem behaviors through to advanced obedience and off-leash reliability, with the stated aim of a clear communication system the owner can keep using. Training Options, a Service Area page and Pack Walks are separate sections, and a class schedule is listed as coming soon. E-collar work is offered explicitly, promoted as a way to give a dog off-leash freedom.

The other side of the business

Beyond pet training she says she trains and provides personal protection dogs, service dogs and companion dogs domestically and internationally, and sells finished dogs – the site lists trained dogs individually with age, breed and price. She also breeds German Shepherds under the Von Regal Oben name, and competes with her own dogs.

Reach

The site states the service area as the pets and people of Stokes, Surry and Forsyth counties, with K9 sales customers nationwide. Pet portraiture is offered as a separate service.
