Centered Canine calls itself Orchard Park's premiere dog training, and its tagline gives away the model: creating calm, happy and confident dogs one home at a time.

Who runs it

Shea founded the business and writes the site in the first person. Her framing is that training is about more than obedience, and that the point is a life where owner and dog both thrive. She describes her approach as personalized, in-home training designed around the owner's goals, and says she started the business because she believed she could offer a realistic, engaging approach that took the individual dog and the family's lifestyle seriously.

The three programs

Board and Train is an immersive two- or three-week stay for dogs working through behavioral challenges, with the aim of laying a foundation rather than patching a symptom. Private Lessons come either as a single targeted session or as a six-week plan with weekly or biweekly meetings, built to fit around the owner's schedule. Puppy Training is offered either as a two-week board and train or as private lessons, focused on potty training, socialization and basic commands, with the owner sent home with the tools to keep going.

The problems named

The site names the everyday complaints it expects: pulling on the leash, jumping on guests, and simply not listening, plus the goal of stress-free outings.
