About Noelle Nasca Dog Training
Noelle Nasca's three-line summary of her work sits at the top of the site: understand the dog, build the relationship, develop the potential.
How she describes the training
She writes that she looks at the dog in front of her rather than a template, weighing temperament, genetics, intrinsic needs, emotional state, learning history and the individual patterns that shape behavior. Training, in her framing, is more than teaching commands: it is developing engagement and connection, creating clarity, and helping the dog understand how its choices affect outcomes. She states a belief in full feedback, giving dogs clear and meaningful information, and argues that because behavior is driven by consequences, thoughtful training uses that fact to build reliability and emotional regulation.
Three ways to train
Private training is delivered as in-home lessons, individualized around the dog, the owner's goals and the realities of their life together, from foundational skills through to problem behaviors and more complex needs. Group classes are available. The Board and Train Immersion is the distinctive one: each dog lives with her as part of her daily life, which she says lets her observe patterns and give consistent feedback throughout the day rather than only in scheduled sessions, with regular play, enrichment and meaningful outlets built in.
Workshops
A few times a year she runs limited immersion workshops. The one described on the site is a small-group retreat introducing tracking and precision work for performance.
Credentials and contact
She publishes NADOI Certified Instructor number 1059 and Canine Good Citizen Evaluator number 14532. Contact is by email or a texting-only line. Note that the house-call range is described only as limited.
Elsewhere in the metro
She is also listed as an instructor on the roster at The Barking Lot of WNY in Hamburg.
