About Do Over Dog Training
Do Over Dog Training is a sport school rather than a pet-manners school, and it is unusually specific about what it teaches. Its own description of the goal is to "help you slow down, tune in, and truly work with your dog".
The class list
K9 Nose Work is the foundation: dogs "learn to use their natural scenting ability to search for target odors while building confidence, focus, and problem-solving skills", with classes from introduction through advanced and preparation for the NACSW, USCSS and C-WAGS scent-work venues.
Dog Parkour "blends fitness, confidence, and teamwork as dogs learn to safely interact with real-world obstacles", with an emphasis on body awareness, and the site says it suits dogs of any age or experience.
Obedience, Rally and Games combines practical obedience skills with rally signs and games, aimed at teams preparing for C-WAGS and Rodeo Dog titles.
Trials and events
The school hosts NACSW, USCSS and C-WAGS scent trials itself, and runs mock trials, sniff-n-gos and run-throughs led by what it calls certified instructors and trial officials. Workshops and seminars run through the year on scent work, sport preparation and enrichment. These are events rather than instruction, and they are listed here because they are a large part of what the venue does.
Virtual work
One-to-one virtual work with the named instructor is sold through Scent Work University and Pet Dog U as video reviews, Zoom consultations, classes and webinars.
The credential
The CCPDT New York registry lists "Lori Timberlake" holding the CPDT credential under Alden, which matches the instructor named on the site and the town of the venue. The site also names a long list of sport appointments – Certified Nose Work Instructor, Family Dog Mediator, International Dog Parkour instructor and evaluator, NACSW certifying official and ORT judge, USCSS trial official. Those are credentials, not services.
