About Premier Dog Sports & Event Center LLC

Premier Dog Sports and Event Center is the largest dedicated dog training floor in this metro: 28,000 square feet, climate controlled, on Lancaster Parkway.

What is taught

The center runs training across a wide range of dog sports, and the published list is agility, obedience, tricks, scent work and puppy classes. Classes span pet-level through competition, described on the site as running from Dog Tricks to Master Agility, so a family dog and a titled competitor can train in the same building. A class schedule is published and appointments can be requested online.

The event side

The second half of the business is facilities. The center rents by the half day up to a full week for dog events, breed specialties and dog sporting events, and it has an RV lot with 20 electric-hookup sites for handlers staying overnight for a trial.

The instructor roster

This is the deepest teaching bench in the metro. Don and Shelly Gordon head a list of more than twenty named instructors, including Megan Abramo, Kim Alexander Thomson, Alicia Barry, Lisa Bates, Lynn Broderick, Jill Carrick, Loren Danaher, Darcy Ferrentino, Kim Galbo, Gail Gombos-Smith, Bonita Habitzruther, Tom and Mo Hammond, Michelle Hoelcle, Erica Roth, Amanda Lowery, Fred Maier, Holly Nagel, Maggie Ohol, Lena Ralston, Cindy Rathbun, Cara Urban and Sue Verbocy.
