Gun dog and obedience training in Montgomery

JK Pine Creek Kennels is in rural Montgomery, between Minneapolis and Mankato off US-169, offering professional gun dog and obedience training by Jake Kline. Its goal is to send home the same personality dog you brought, but with manners and respect for the human. Dogs of all breeds receive one on one training in a climate-controlled kennel building, with upland cover and ponds for waterfowl work.

The trainer

Jake has trained dogs professionally for over 25 years, starting in 1999 at a large Upper Midwest kennel. His own dog Drake won the U.S. Open puppy flusher in 2000, and Jake is credited with well over thousands of dogs trained. He also has seven years of upland guiding experience.

Programs

Introduction to Bird & Gun is a 2 week program for dogs 5 months and older. Obedience is a 6 week program covering on-leash commands plus an introduction to the remote training collar. The Gun Dog Intermediate Program runs 10 weeks for flushers (plus 2 weeks for pointers), covering force fetching, upland and waterfowl skills. An Advanced Program of 10 to 16 weeks covers blind retrieves and steadiness. All programs include 2 to 3 one on one lessons for owners.
