Reward-based training in Bend

Ain't Misbehaving Dog Training is a reward-based training service in Bend, dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and their people since 1999 and now serving the Bend area. The approach helps owners observe, learn and understand their dog's behavior through clear communication, trust, kindness and understanding, and treats training as a science-based dialogue that should be fun for both dog and person.

The trainer

Trainer Camilla Welhaven has over 20 years of training experience with companion, therapy and service dogs. She is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA, 2001), a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI, 2013) and a member of the Association For Pet Dog Trainers. She volunteered with Multnomah County Animal Services and developed a canine scent enrichment program for shelter dogs.

Services and prices

Services include nose work training, private behavioral consultations, private training sessions and small-group obedience classes. Six-week group classes, with the first class for humans only, include Beginning Manners Puppy (10-20 weeks), Beginning Manners Adolescents (20 weeks to 1 year) and Continuing Education (8 months and up), each $170.
