About Laughing Dog Academy

What they offer

Laughing Dog Academy provides private in-home training in Montgomery County and other parts of the Washington area, and offers classes in Rockville. Lessons cover basic behaviors such as sit, down, stay, come, leave it, drop it and touch, then put them to work in real-life situations.

Behavior work

The trainer regularly works with dogs that pull, lunge or bark on walks, excessive barkers, jumpers and nippers, and dogs that are overly excited, reactive to dogs and people, or fearful and shy. Each dog gets a training and behavior modification plan fitted to its needs and the family's lifestyle.

Approach

Training uses only positive reinforcement with an emphasis on clicker training, with no shock, choke or prong collars. The trainer, Sarah Stoycos, is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner.
