About Bond Dog Training
Behavior and service dog training from Driftwood
Bond Dog Training is based in Driftwood, just south of Austin, and run by Sarah Bond, CDBC, CSAT, CPDT-KSA, who has been teaching people to train their dogs since 2008. She specializes in dogs with aggression and reactivity, fear and anxiety, and separation anxiety, and in service dogs for psychiatric, mobility, hearing and medical alert work. Her philosophy treats each dog as an individual and uses force free, reward-based methods.
How it works
Training is customized private work, in person or virtual, plus online courses and webinars. In-home lessons cover South and Central Austin, Kyle, Buda, Dripping Springs, Driftwood and Wimberley, usually with no travel fee, and nearby communities for an added fee. Clara, a Lab and German Shepherd mix who competes in AKC Scent Work, helps shy and reactive dogs during lessons.
Prices
An initial virtual consultation is $95 for puppies and basic training or $210 for behavior issues. The hourly rate is $185, dropping to $160, $155 or $150 per hour with larger packages.
Credentials
Sarah is an IAABC Certified Dog Behavior Consultant, a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer and a CCPDT Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge and Skills Assessed, a professional member of the APDT and the Pet Professional Guild, and an elected APDT board member starting in 2024.
