What they offer

4T's Gun Dogs is run by Donaye and his wife April, who started training gun dogs in Spokane in 2022 and now work from farm country in Deer Park. The name stands for the four principles behind their training: touch, timing, tension and talent. Donaye heads the yearling and performance programs and is a NSTRA judge.

Gun dog programs

Training programs are staged by age: a puppy program for dogs four to six months old with bird and gun introduction and house and kennel manners, a basic program for dogs six to twelve months focused on obedience and steadiness, and yearling and performance programs for older dogs.

Obedience and behavior

For companion dogs, the site lists obedience and behavior modification for leash pulling and lunging, fear and anxiety, jumping, excessive barking, mouthing and biting, attention and distraction control, interaction with people and other dogs, off-leash training, desensitization, door and meal manners, and puppy training and house breaking. Owners can train in a group, individually or at home, and clients note that the trainers teach the owner as much as the dog.
