About A Better Bond Dog Training

Behavior-focused training from Cedar Park

A Better Bond Dog Training is based in Cedar Park and works with families across the greater Austin area in person, with virtual coaching for owners elsewhere. It was founded by Cynthia Garlaska, a trainer and behaviorist with over 18 years of experience and a professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). Her work spans basic obedience, puppy foundations, behavioral rehabilitation, therapy dog work and rescue.

Programs

Board and train runs 4 to 8 weeks with the dog living and learning in a real home environment, with photos, videos and weekly progress reports, then follow-up sessions. Puppy training ranges from a single in-home session to a 3-week Wonder Puppy program covering crate training, socialization, manners and healthy habits. Private lessons focus on reliable obedience around everyday distractions, and behavior modification addresses reactivity, aggression, anxiety, leash pulling and barking. The menu also mentions Cane Corso and guardian-breed training. Every program is priced by custom quote after a consultation. Hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 9am-5pm.

Approach

The philosophy is trust-based and fulfillment-based training, a calm, relationship-first approach that aims at the root of a behavior and teaches the whole family.
