Our 4H Dog club rents this place for training and events (fair judging & rally). Main area has large turfed field split to 2 training rings, and all necessary agility equipment, and a smaller back room with rubber flooring that our club uses for Showmanship training. Plenty of space to potty the dogs outside, with bag and trash station.
I've been coming to arf for 2years and love the classes and the people are really cool. They have added some really nice new classes since I've started. Would love to see other dog sports if possible such as happy ratters but it's clean, great equipment, instructor's are knowledgeable.
I only have done one session here for both the beginner one agility and fundamental behavior training and I can’t say enough great things!. I love the way things are done here and how nice the instructors are and how helpful they are for each class and the tips that they give!. I also like how they pace things for the agility class and make it fun and understandable!. I just started my second beginner 2 class and it was already so helpful!. It is also super clean there and you can tell that they keep the area clean so dogs don’t get sick and that is super good!. I love this place!!. My dog Ozzie loves it too!.
I took my dog here for agility, and it was a fun time for my dog, but I felt like the instructors were extremely weird to me the whole time. They constantly made passive-aggressive remarks about my dog being older and a mixed-breed, even though she was one of the best in the class. I figured maybe it was just in my head, but when I got my certificate of completion, I found that they'd cropped me and my dog (and no one else) out of the class photo.
Later, my wife took our other dog here for the 'Rowdy Dog' classes (reactivity training), where the instructor claimed "no one has ever failed" and that the class would do some good. It was a complete waste of time and money. The techniques taught in the class were useless and he has shown no improvement whatsoever. Despite the fact that he was struggling, the instructor did not offer any one-on-one time whatsoever to give any additional pointers. Also, "no one has failed" was just a blatant lie to get people to sign up. It's technically true because the class isn't graded and there's no completion certificate, but several people dropped out over the course of it and I doubt most of the dogs who made it through were substantially improved.
I'm not sure what the other options are, but I cannot recommend this place. You're better off just staying home.
I was impressed by the facility and most of the trainers were good. I did encounter one who was not friendly to the kids.
