About All Breed Dog Training School

All Breed Dog Training School is a one-trainer, in-home practice registered at 1657 Feuereisen Avenue in Bohemia. Its owner-trainer states the founding date himself: 'Owner Trainer, Richard Kuper established All Breed Dog Training School in 1978.'

The approach

The method is the whole proposition, and it is argued from location rather than from technique: 'All Breed Dog & Puppy Training provides expert dog obedience training at your home or business where the problems are. Working your dog inside and outside your home where the traffic and distractions are present in real life.' The logic is that a dog which behaves in a training hall has not necessarily learned anything about the street it actually lives on. What Kuper says he covers is broad and old-fashioned in the best sense: 'I specialize in all levels of obedience training and solving your dog's behavioral problems. Any Dog Any Age.'

Scope

The site is a small one – a home page, comments from clients, training videos, photos and a contact page – and it publishes a current service area rather than a permanent one: 'Complete Dog & Puppy training now serving primarily Queens, Nassau county, and all of Suffolk county and surrounding areas.' Contact runs through 631-319-4066 and a Verizon email address published on the home page.

Who it suits

This is the opposite end of the market from a facility with a class calendar. There is no group schedule to fit into, no residential option and no published price list; there is a long-established trainer who comes to the house, works the dog through its own doorway, hallway, yard and sidewalk, and takes puppies and adults of any breed. Owners who want their dog's problems solved in the environment where those problems occur – rather than transferred back from a training hall – are the audience this school has been serving from Bohemia since 1978.
