About Applejack K-9 Academy & Kennel

What they offer

Applejack K-9 Academy & Kennel is a family-owned training facility in Charlotte Hall, founded in 1987 and now run by the founder's sons. Its dogs have gone to families and companies as pets and working dogs.

Training

Each dog starts with an evaluation where training goals are set, and owners then work toward them with the trainers on a weekly basis. Services include obedience and behavioral modification, personal and family protection training, tracking, utility and agility work, and a service dog program.

Approach

The academy puts its emphasis on giving handlers tools to communicate clearly with their dogs, and its founder's training principles still guide the program.
