About Bark Busters Home Dog Training Kalamazoo & Battle Creek

In-home training across Kalamazoo and Battle Creek

This is the Bark Busters territory covering Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, run by Pamela Kars, who introduces herself on the territory page: "I am Pamela Kars, your Bark Busters Dog Trainer and Dog Behavioral Therapist in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek." Lessons happen at the client's home: "We train in your home. Dogs learn best in a familiar, safe environment, free of outside distractions and disruptions."

Method

The page describes a communication-led approach rather than tools or food: "Keeping it with positive methods, pain, treat and click free, using body language and voice tones." The stated aim is to teach owners "how to use friendly, canine leadership and to 'speak dog' using your body language, voice tones, and timing so you and your dog communicate better!" Kars writes that she has raised dogs her entire life, that her family bred golden retrievers, and that she has also trained horses.

What she works on

The territory page lists the behavior issues addressed: aggression, adjusting to a new home, barking, biting, chewing, destruction, digging, focus and listening, housebreaking, improving confidence, jumping, leash pulling, marking, new baby preparation, obsessiveness, respecting other pets, running away, separation anxiety, and sibling rivalry. Puppy training is offered alongside work with older dogs.

The first lesson, and after

The first lesson runs two to three hours: "Over the course of our first 2 to 3-hour lesson, you'll see changes in your dog and your relationship." Clients on the Gold Service are told their "trainer is a single call away and ready to help at any point in your dog's life at no additional cost," under the brand's Life of Dog Support Guarantee.
