About Bark Busters Home Dog Training Southern CT

In-home training in Southern Connecticut

Bark Busters Home Dog Training Southern CT, based in Bethany, is run by Michael DiStassio, a Bark Busters dog trainer and dog behavioral therapist serving New Haven County, including Milford, New Haven, Orange and Seymour. Training happens in the client's home, where the dog feels most secure, with a tailored plan for each dog.

Method

The Bark Busters method is described as dog-friendly, non-food-based and non-physical, with no shock collars or harsh methods, and built on respect, leadership and trust. Michael assesses the situation at home and designs a plan, and he came to the method after hiring a Bark Busters trainer himself 12 years ago, when his English Bulldog struggled with the arrival of his twins.

What it covers

Puppy training, dog training and behavior work address aggression, barking, biting, chewing, digging, housebreaking, jumping, leash pulling, marking, new baby preparation, separation anxiety, running away and tension between dogs in the house. Gold Service gives lifetime access to the trainer at no additional cost.

What owners say

An East Haven client wrote, "I can't say enough positives about Michael's approach."
