About Where Sit Happens Dog Training and Enrichment
Training for both ends of the leash
Where Sit Happens is a dog training center at 340 Center Rock Green in Oxford's Quarry Walk. Its mission is to teach dogs and their people to communicate clearly, connect deeply, and thrive together, and it describes its methods as ethical, effective and science-based, with every plan customized to the owner's goals.
Classes and services
Group classes run on a membership model, so teams train at their own pace instead of waiting for the next course to start. The schedule has over 20 different classes, including Puppy Pre-K, Basic Manners Levels 1-5 (with Canine Good Citizen skills from Level 4), Loose Leash and Recall, Dog Walking Club, Impulse Control, Scent Work Games, Rally Obedience, Cooperative Care, Therapy Dog Prep and Reactive Relief. Memberships are $225 per 4 weeks for a 4 Class Pass, $299 for unlimited group classes and $399 for Unlimited PLUS with one-on-one instruction. There is also a drop-off Day School and private training at the facility or in your home.
The trainers
Founder Jessica Barry holds KPA-CTP and IAABC-CDBC credentials, is a certified Fear Free Professional and a licensed Family Paws Instructor, and began training professionally in 2021. Trainers Sandy Lee and Sara Munson both hold the CPDT-KA.
What owners say
One client wrote that Jess trained their leash reactive rescue and the family "so we can have calmer walks."
