About Bark Busters of Louisville
About
Bark Busters Louisville has been "helping families across Kentucky and Southern Indiana transform their
dogs' behavior since 2006." It is run by Doug Rountree, a "certified Bark Busters Master Dog Trainer"
who "brings nearly 20 years of local experience to your home — along with additional credentials as an
AKC CGC Evaluator and IACP member." The business holds an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.
All training is in-home, and Doug explains why:
> "I provide in home dog training because this is where your dog can best focus, and where most of your
> dog's behavior problems occur. Importantly, I partner with you to train your dog. This means more
> efficient, effective, and longer-lasting outcomes for you and your dog. In fact, you will see results
> and improved dog behavior after our first lesson."
Method
> "I do not believe dog training requires treats, but that treats should be just a treat! Also, I do
> not use any physical punishment or tools that cause pain. I use positive, humane dog training methods
> – no shock collars or clicker training."
The approach is built on communication rather than equipment — teaching owners "how to properly
communicate with your dog, how to lead your dog to make better decisions, and allow your canine
companion to feel safe and happy in your home," using "body language and voice tones dogs
understand."
Training is backed by the network's Life of Dog Support Guarantee.
