About Best Buddies Canine Comforts & Training LLC

Best Buddies Canine Comforts & Training is a private dog training practice led by Lori Falk, a Certified Canine Obedience Instructor.

Programs

The practice offers obedience training (techniques for better behavior), behavior modification (addressing specific behavioral issues) and puppy training (building good habits from the start). Every program is designed around the individual dog's needs and the family's lifestyle, with a focus on teaching owners to communicate with their dogs and on preparing dogs for everyday situations rather than only a controlled environment.

Method

Training uses positive reinforcement, which the business describes as effective and humane. Lori also emphasizes giving dogs choices, so they keep as much control over their own behavior as possible.

Credentials

Lori earned her dog obedience certification from Animal Behavior College. She also holds certifications in Training Shelter Dogs, Dog Walking & Sitting, Pet Massage and Pet Nutrition and Diet, is an instructor and evaluator for Do More With Your Dog and an evaluator for AKC STAR Puppy, Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog, and holds a small animal massage certification from the Northwest School of Animal Massage. She is a member of the International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork, the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, the Holistic Animal Association and the National Search and Rescue Association, and an associate member of the International Association of Canine Professionals.
